The VMD-45G incorporates a 31” x 9” milling style table, that enables the operator to do more things that just the drilling function if they have the right tooling. The table also incorporates a power feed on the x axis, perfect for those longer cuts that need to be accurate.
The VMD-45G vertical mill/drill press has a very wide column to eliminate flexing when milling or drilling at full capacity. The column also incorporates a power down feed system. The base and column are made from a rigid casting adding to the strength of this 1-3/4" maximum capacity drilling machine. The gear driven head has 12 speeds that allows the machinist or fabricator to run tooling at the proper speed for each mill, drill or tap size available. Running at the exact speed extends tooling life, something that can't be accomplished on other mill/drills. The VMD-45G also comes standard with a coolant system, huge MT4 spindle taper and a halogen light.
