Italpresse introduces their new professional grade MATRIX 3-D Thermofoil Press. The MATRIX features digital scanning of the panels, and Italpresse's unique "relieving bed" technology that completely eliminates the need for pedestal panels or manually set riser pins. Designed to operate with or without the membrane for maximum flexibility and security. Available with 1, 2, or 3 loading trays and an automatic vacuum unloading system to best fit your production requirements.
Heating platen dimensions: 1,450 x 3,300 mm (57" x 130")
Maximum useful lamination area: 1,270 x 3,100 mm (50" x 122")
Maximum workpiece thickness: 43 mm (1.7")
PVC foil width: 1,420 -1,450 mm (55.9" - 57")
Maximum laminating pressure: 240 metric tons (264 US tons)
Maximum positive air pressure: 5 bar (72 psi)
Maximum platen temperature: 150o C (302o F)
Voltage per requirements: 3 phase, 60 cycle
Standard features:
The press frames are flame cut from solid steel plates, CNC machined, and assembled without welding to assure reliable sealing of the forming chamber and eliminate structural failure due to fatigue stressed welds.
Six up-stroke hydraulic cylinders are used to open and close the press. The hydraulic pressure is automatically controlled in proportion to the increase of positive air pressure in the press chamber to avoid undue stress to the membrane by the perimeter frames.
Heat is generated by a massive aluminum upper heating platen constructed with two levels of electrical resistance heating wire and channels for circulation of thermal oil assuring maximum uniformity in platen temperature. The platen also has channels for preheating the positive air charge. The surface is black anodized to maximize the radiant qualities of the platen. The platen temperature is precisely controlled by dual digital thermostatic controls.
The press is supplied with a silicone membrane tensioned by pneumatic cylinders.
An infrared temperature sensor monitors the membrane face temperature between press cycles. To maintain a precise face temperature between cycles, the membrane is briefly dropped away from the heating platen and then drawn back up in relationship to an operator set temperature.
The standard machine is delivered with two automatic movement shuttle-loading trays. The trays are equipped with ITALPRESSE'S unique fully automatic "Relieving Bed" technology, eliminating the need for pedestal panels. Other configurations are available upon request.
The standard machine has two workstations in front of the press. The station closest to the press is used for unloading the trays at the end of the press cycle and has two levels allowing the tray entering the press to pass underneath the tray exiting the press. Automatic unloading of parts from the tray is available as an option. The station furthest from the press is used for arranging the parts in the tray, digital scanning, automatic lowering of the pins around the parts, and pulling the PVC foil over the tray. Automatic reset of the pins can be initiated either as the tray moves from the unloading station to the second station or while the tray is stationary in the second station.
Digital, high resolution scanning system consisting of two digital cameras and special overhead lighting installed on an aluminum free standing framework.
High efficiency vacuum pump with a 1000-liter vacuum accumulator tank.
Industrial PC controller with color graphic touch screen monitor for setting and monitoring all cycle perimeters and controlling all functions of the press line. On screen diagnostics and a modem for remote diagnostics is included.
Powder coated steel enclosure with large entry doors for easy maintenance access.
